The operating rules for fair, reviewable Wave challenge competition.

LIVE POLICY These rules are active for new submissions. Major future changes may require signed-in players to acknowledge the new version again.

Record evidence requirements

Every accepted completion or progress record must be credible, reviewable, and tied to the exact listed upload.

✓Submit either a direct video file or a public video link that clearly shows the claimed progress or completion.
✓A visible cheat indicator is required in completion footage so staff can review the run state.
✓Gameplay clicks must be clearly audible in completion footage.
✓Include the attempt immediately before the successful attempt when possible. This is preferred evidence context, not an automatic rejection by itself.
✓The 12 CPS rule is not a personal clicking-speed cap. A player may click faster than 12 CPS during a completion if the level itself did not require more than 12 CPS.
✓Use the exact Geometry Dash level ID shown on the WCL level page.
✓Keep original footage available; staff may request it when evidence is edited, unclear, or disputed.
✓Noclip, botting, macros, speed alteration, or any other tool that performs gameplay is prohibited.
✓Do not use secret routes, bug routes, or modified copies unless WCL staff explicitly approve them for that level.

Level and verification eligibility

Ranked challenges should test Wave skill first, be practical for staff to verify, and avoid mandatory spam that goes past WCL's level-design limit.

✓The level must primarily test Wave gameplay.
✓Provide a valid Geometry Dash level ID and a complete YouTube verification video; a direct file may also be uploaded for staff review.
✓A visible cheat indicator is required in verification footage.
✓Gameplay clicks must be clearly audible in verification footage.
✓Include the attempt immediately before the successful verification attempt when possible.
✓Required gameplay must be possible at 12 CPS or below. The rule is about what the level requires, not the verifier's measured CPS, peak CPS, optional extra inputs, or average CPS across the whole level.
✓A section that requires about 4 CPS is valid even if a player voluntarily alternates at 16 CPS. A section that actually requires about 16 CPS to survive is invalid.
✓Brief mandatory bursts above 12 CPS still violate the rule even if the level averages below 12 CPS overall.
✓The level must be publicly accessible in the same state shown by the verification.
✓Copied, broken, impossible-to-evaluate, or deliberately misleading submissions may be rejected.
✓Placement is decided by list staff after review; a submitter's estimate is context, not a guaranteed rank.

Community conduct

Strong competition depends on basic respect, clear attribution, and honest participation.

✓Do not harass staff, creators, verifiers, or other players.
✓Do not knowingly submit fraudulent, stolen, or misattributed evidence.
✓Do not impersonate another player or submit on someone else's behalf without permission.
✓Report mistakes privately and appeal decisions respectfully with new evidence.

Review & appeals

Submitting a record never adds it automatically. Staff review evidence before points or placements change. A rejection should state the problem when practical, and an appeal should include new information or clearer proof.
